CT Department of Public Health

 The CTSS met with the CT DPH in September regarding the "oxygen" legislation via teleconference. (P.A. 10-117 Sec. 80) Per the teleconference, the DPH's enforcement of this will be limited to hospitals, therefore only sleep labs that are physically located within a hospital will be affected at this time.

- All sleep techs working in Hospital Sleep Labs need Annual Oxygen Competency

- Only persons holding a CT Healthcare License may add, remove or titrate oxygen in a Hospital

- Penalties for non-compliance will vary on the degree of severity
