CONGRATULATIONS to the J&L Medical Scholarship Winners!

Thank you to J&L for supporting the field of Connecticut Sleep Medicine through the annual J&L Sleep Scholarship.

 CT PSG Licensure / Registration

As mentioned at the dinner, the reasons for advocating polysomnography technician legislation would be:

  • to define the field (statutory recognition)
  • to define the educational requirements
  • to define the competency testing

  • Monday June 28th, the CTSS President met with the James Iacobellis from the Connecticut Hospital Association.
  • A date has not yet been set for a meeting with the DPH, but is imminent.
  • Wednesday July 7th the CTSS Legislative Committee is meeting at Middlesex Hospital to discuss PSG Act Language.
  • August 2010 the CTSS will be meeting with the CTSRC to address concerns expressed with existing PSG Act Language.

Click here  to review the draft / working copy of the Polysomnography Practice Act.  The CTSS continues to work with allied health fields to make the Act a document that has a strong level of support.
